La Cala de Mijas in Mijas
Costa is a small and pretty seaside resort on the Costa del Sol, not far
from Fuengirola. However, while Fuengirola tends to get a little overcrowded
in the summer months, La Cala is a rather quieter and more traditionally
Spanish destination with a pretty beach, several shops and many places
to eat.
There are several resort
hotels close by or in the town itself, as well as many lovely holiday
villas and apartments for those who wish to be a little more independent.
Of course, having your own fully-equipped kitchen doesn’t mean that you
have to cook all the time. Dining out is convenient, with many options
available including traditional Spanish and other cuisine. The following
are just a few recommendations to suit every palate.
KonFusion Tapas & Cocktail
Bar
- Calle Bulevar de la Cala,
Ed. Elena N. 4, 29649, La Cala de Mijas
Tel +34 666 10 09 73
This highly recommended option
offers fusion cuisine as well as several traditionally Spanish delights.
Full meals are on offer as well as tapas for those wanting a lighter meal.
Their gin & tonic comes highly recommended and the restaurant also
has a range of excellent Spanish wines.
The desserts are just simply
to die for, including the wonderful chocolaty confection pictured here.
One commenter on the restaurant’s Facebook
post said that this dessert is “300% recommendable.”
The restaurant is small,
so booking comes highly recommended. Both Sabrina and Mario, owners of
KonFusion Tapas & Cooktail bar speak excellent English. |
